Share
If you're looking for girls bedroom ideas that will create a magical room she'll love to spend time in, this dreamy pink bedroom is the perfect inspiration. This romantic girls bedroom is a whimsical vintage pink theme that feels like stepping into a storybook. Styled with lots of gorgeous accessories and inspired by the coquette trend, this pink bedroom theme will make the dreamiest space for your little girl.
Read on for lots of inspiration and some top tips to help you to recreate a similar vintage pink theme yourself. Full shopping list can be found at the bottom of this article.
Colour Palette
This vintage pink bedroom has been styled with blush rose, dusty pink and a hint of sparkle, creating a soothing and stylish environment for a little girl.
Despite the darker shades of pink in this room, the walls are white. As with many of the kids bedroom themes I design, the accessories I have used add colour to this girl's bedroom rather than using wallpaper or any other DIY.
When styling a bedroom theme like this one, where there is a lot of one colour, use different textures to bring interest to a room with knitted throws, ruffled pillows and fluffy rugs.
Warmth comes through with the addition of wooden furniture and rattan accessories.
Personalised Touches
Personalised accessories are key when choosing girl's bedroom ideas and will make her room feel truly unique. I love personalised bunting for any child's bedroom and what little girl wouldn't want to see her name in glitter?

Choose one or two monogram decorations for a more subtle way to add personalisation to your little girl's room. These could be hanging decorations or they could adorn her bed, like the beautiful ruffle cushion which adds a romantic feel to the room when layered with soft blankets and special toys.

Wall Decor That Tells a Story
Without the wall decor in this room, this little girl's bedroom would look quite plain. Here I have used a variety of different hanging decorations to add character to the theme, from framed prints, personalised banners, bunting and other hanging decorations. The peg rail is a great addition as I can prop decorations on top or hang from the pegs as you can see here.
Top tip - when decorating a plain wall, start with hanging your biggest framed prints, then style other decorations in the gaps between. You could even lay everything on the floor first, to check you're happy with the layout before you start hanging.

Embrace a Coquette Aesthetic

Over the past couple of years we have seen the influence of the coquette trend in both fashion and home decor. I have incorporated some of the key design features of this trend to create a romantic girls bedroom that is subtle and sweet, without it being overly frilly.
Bows were particularly important to me when I was choosing coquette room decor, which you will see in the cushion on the bed, a framed print and smaller bow details on hanging decorations.

The Finishing Touches
A handful of personalised items, such as custom wall art or name bunting, can make a little girl’s bedroom truly special. One of my favourite ways to style kids bedrooms is to incorporate the child’s own toys and books into the decor. A scattering of beloved storybooks on the bed can instantly inject a playful element into the room.
Remember you don’t need to buy everything at once. It takes time to accumulate the perfect decorations to compliment a bedroom theme like this one, but if you want to speed up the process I have put together a full shopping list for my vintage pink bedroom theme below.
Top tip - a child's bedroom won't always look so perfectly styled, but a selection of clever storage can hide away the toys that don't fit into a pink girl's bedroom theme!
